Quartz composites generally constitute of around 95% quartz mineral and 5% resin and colours. It is a man made material with a natural quartz basis resulting in a material that looks and feels like stone with the added benefits of a very low porosity and high scratch resistance. This makes it both perfect for worktop use and possible to replicate natural world materials that are not so suitable.

Marble which has traditionally embodied luxury and status is still a hugely popular choice due to its natural beauty and diversity.
Like most products it does have it’s practical advantages and disadvantages and not all marbles are suitable for use in certain areas. Marble is typically used more for floors and walls and lower wear and use areas but there are exceptions.
